New Hire Training

Every new member of the GPS team undergoes an extensive introduction to the fundamentals of security services. This classroom-based training covers legal issues, patrol techniques, report writing, and officer safety, laying the groundwork for a successful career in security.

Field Training Officer (FTO) Program

After completing the classroom training, new hires are paired with experienced Field Training Officers for on-the-job training. This program is divided into three phases:

Trainees observe the FTO performing daily duties, gaining insight into the practical aspects of security work.

Under close supervision, the trainee begins to perform tasks, applying classroom knowledge to real-world situations.

Trainees take on duties independently while the FTO provides oversight, evaluation, and feedback, ensuring readiness for solo assignments.

In-Service Training

To keep our team informed of the latest procedures, techniques, and legal changes, we conduct regular training sessions throughout the year. This ensures that our officers remain at the forefront of industry standards and best practices.
